CiteGrab is a Chrome extension that formats citations from the page you're viewing. This policy explains what the extension does and does not collect.
When you open the extension on a page, it reads that page's publicly available metadata (title, author, publisher, and date tags) to build a citation. It does not read page content beyond this metadata, and it does not run in the background — it only activates when you click the extension icon.
Citations you choose to save are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's extension storage. This data stays on your device and is not sent to CiteGrab's servers or any third party.
If you submit feedback through our feedback form, the information you choose to provide (and your email, if you include it) is used only to respond to you and improve CiteGrab.
